Fall Wedding at Perona Farms Refinery | Melanie & Ryan

Some weddings just hit differently, and when you’ve already built a connection with the couple long before the big day, the excitement feels even more personal. That was exactly the case with Melanie and Ryan, whose fall wedding at Perona Farms Refinery felt less like showing up for clients and more like celebrating people we already knew.

We had gotten to know them over the past year through social media, a friend’s wedding, and ongoing interactions online. By the time their wedding rolled around this past November at Perona Farms Refinery, it genuinely felt like we were showing up for people we already knew, not clients we had just met.

When Fall Colors Hold On Just a Little Longer

Even though it was technically the end of fall, one thing Melanie really wanted was foliage in her portraits. And while most of New Jersey had already said goodbye to the autumn colors, Perona Farms did not disappoint. Tucked around the property, we found bright, colorful trees still holding onto their leaves. Giving Melanie exactly the pop of color she had been hoping for their fall wedding at Perona Farms Refinery.

Melanie lost her father a few years ago, so it was no surprise that emotions were running high throughout the day. But what stood out most wasn’t the sadness- it was the collective readiness to celebrate life, love, and family. And when the reception doors opened? Everyone was more than ready to party.
