Jayme and Brian wanted their engagement session to feel like them—laid-back, personal, and rooted in the city they love. Instead of heading to a specific iconic spot in the city, they invited us into their world. We planned an engagement session in Murray Hill that featured a walk through their favorite neighborhood spots.
We kicked things off at Sundays Well, the cozy bar where they’ve spent countless evenings. then meandered through the streets they walk every day, stopping for photos along the way. Their building’s rooftop gave us an epic cityscape backdrop, complete with golden hour light! Such a gorgeous spot!!
These kinds of sessions are a dream—full of genuine connection, laughter, and meaning. When we wrapped at Jackson Hole (yes, that Jackson Hole, the one with the burgers and neon), it felt more like hanging out with old friends than a shoot. This is what makes our job as NYC photographers so special: no matter how many couples we photograph here, it’s always something different. The city becomes a reflection of the couple, not just a backdrop and that is such a gift.
