We have been meaning to write blog posts about all of our favorite venues for a long time. Now in the midst of this pandemic, not only do we have the time but it is more important than ever to support our industry peers, especially those that without them, we would not have the locations to photograph the beautiful weddings that we capture.
We couldn’t kick off this blog series without starting with the venue we seem to be working at the most within the year- Perona Farms. It’s no secret that some of our favorite venues are outdoor locations with tons of property to photograph on. With three different reception rooms, multiple outdoor ceremony locations and getting ready houses, Perona provides so much variety for photos. As vendors, we never have to worry about coordinating with their team and making sure we stick to our schedule. They support us every inch of the way and make sure our couples are happy and not worrying about a thing.
From a guest perspective, Perona Farms provides exceptional service and don’t get us started on the food! We are obsessed with their mediterranean station during cocktail hour and their fresh farm to table menu. Every single wedding we have photographed at Perona has been raved about by couples and guests so their reputation speaks for itself.
Here are some of our favorite photos from Perona and a little bit more information about the space:
Pretty much all of our weddings at Perona Farms do a first look followed by portraits throughout the property. Our favorite spots are the orchard, the property behind the DeBurgh house and by the barn.
We have photographed ceremonies in the orchard, by the barn and in the courtyard by the Reserve. Each spot is beautiful but our favorites might be in the orchard (depending on the sunlight!)
Not only does Perona have great outdoor spaces for photographs, we have used indoor spaces as well. This photo was taken in the Deburgh House while the next two were taken in reception spaces. If you are worried about a rainy wedding day, it is comforting to know that Perona has indoor alternatives for photos.
The first reception room we photographed at Perona was the Barn. It’s a stunning, rustic space that doesn’t need much decoration to enhance it.
The Reserve was newly renovated and provides the perfect balance between rustic and traditional. Most couples that choose this room, choose it for that reason. It has touches of stone and wood but the added elegance of chandeliers.
