Christine and Patsy’s wedding felt extra special for us because our history with them goes back long before they were planning their own. We’ve been photographing weddings within their friend group for about five years. We actually took Christine and Patsy’s first professional photo together when they were in the wedding party at one of those weddings. Since then, through their engagement session, meetings, and getting to know them, we’ve genuinely loved every moment with these two. Patsy is such a sweetheart and always mindful of everyone around him, while Christine is a fellow Disney fan, so we connected pretty quickly.
We were already really excited for their wedding, but the day somehow exceeded our expectations. They were calm, completely focused on each other and just ready to have a good time. They valued their portraits and gave us the time and freedom to create without feeling rushed. Getting to see so many of our past couples again made it feel like spending the day with old friends. And we can’t talk about a Shadowbrook wedding without mentioning the cocktail hour. We’ve photographed a lot of weddings around New Jersey, and Shadowbrook’s cocktail hour is still one of the best.
