There’s something about winter weddings that just hit differently and Andriana and Kevin’s day at Crossed Keys Estate winter wedding was one of those days we won’t forget.
This was only our second winter wedding ever at Crossed Keys and it came right after a full-on blizzard. Snow covered everything, and instead of stressing about it, we embraced the moment. Ultimately, it gave us one of the most beautiful backdrops we could’ve asked for.
A Meaningful Start
The day started in a way that felt incredibly personal to Andriana and her family. Andriana’s family has deep roots in New York City and they own a local meat market that’s been part of their story for years. Being able to photograph Kevin and the guys there wasn’t just unique, it meant something. Those are the kinds of locations that instantly add history and personality to a wedding day.
From there, we headed to her family’s Ukrainian church for the ceremony, which was one of the most meaningful parts of the day. The traditions, the symbolism, the energy in the room, it all felt rich with culture and intention.
After the ceremony, we made our way to Crossed Keys. Crossed Keys is already one of our favorite venues, but covered in snow? It’s on another level.
The light, the textures, the quietness that snow brings-it created this calm, romantic energy that you just can’t replicate any other time of year. Andriana and Kevin fully leaned into it, which always makes the biggest difference.
This Crossed Keys Estate winter wedding was a reminder of why we’re starting to love winter weddings more and more.
They’re a little unpredictable, a little different, and when everything falls into place like this, they truly feel really special.
