Evelyn & Izzy

It took a lot to get us to this weekend for Evelyn and Izzy’s Casa Herdz wedding. When we found out Jenn’s cousin Evelyn was planning a beautiful wedding in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in November 2017, we knew we had to be a part of it. Wedding planning can be stressful enough…especially when planning from so far away but when every single obstacle is thrown your way it can be even more emotionally taxing.

Hurricane Maria came along about a month before the wedding, completely devastating the island and cutting off all communication between Evelyn, Izzy, their family and vendors. There were so many logistics to be concerned about in such a short period of time and unfortunately, the wedding had to be pushed back until March 2018. Even more hiccups happened along the way but in the end, the weekend itself was PERFECT. Being our first destination wedding outside of the continental US, it was that much more special that it was for family. Capturing photos of moments and people that we know are super important to Evelyn and Izzy, again reminded us of why we love what we do and we are happy to be able to do that for family!
