When we don’t meet with couples in person before their wedding, we never know what to expect on the wedding day. Lucky for us, Jana and Jay were amazing throughout the entire planning process. Spending time with them on their The Rockleigh wedding day definitely reinforced how awesome they are.
We had been to The Rockleigh before- during a 95 degree, rainy wedding day last year. We were hoping that this mid-November day would give us some mild temperatures so we could finally shoot outdoors at the venue. As luck would have it, it was the coldest day of the month. We were able to convince Jana and Jay to do their first look outside but you should have seen how fast we were in and out! After that, we were limited to photographing indoors and The Rockleigh is perfect for that. It gives us a classic and timeless look to the photos which we love.
Immediately following photos, there was an amazing celebration amongst friends and family for the tish, bedeken and ceremony. Not to be upstaged by the preceding ceremonies, the reception started with pretty much every person on the dance floor. A horah is not a good horah if we aren’t getting pushed around! We loved being a part of every second of the reception and may have had to stop ourselves a couple of times from joining right into the dancing!
